Pear was born out of a simple yet powerful idea—patients choosing their provider based on real data, not online reviews. Frustrated by lack of transparency, sub-par care and difficulty researching providers online, we set out to build a modern provider search tool that really puts patients first.

We envision a world where transparency is the foundation of healthcare—where every person has access to clear, objective information to confidently choose providers who deliver genuine, high-quality care. Through data, lived experiences, and accountability, we aim to transform the healthcare system into one that prioritizes trust, compassion, and consistent excellence for all, while also providing accountability to care providers to treat all patients according to the Hippocratic Oath.
